⦿ ISS CREW SHORT QSO
The Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) Program facilitates radio communications. Radio enthusiasts can contact astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) via amateur radio. This program enables students and ham radio hobbyists to make contact with the ISS crew using specialized radio equipment (transceivers and antennas) and procedures.
Jun Aves, 4F9INC, one of our SCAN Members, specializes in tracking and communicating with other amateurs in 10 Countries within Asia using his homebrewed antennas. One day, he was able to contact Takuya Onishi, a member of the ISS crew, on July 27, 2025, via NA1SS.
