The Society of Communicators And Networkers International (SCAN) Education aims to pass on the hobby and passion of Amateur Radio use. It will provide the younger generation and families with the importance of maintaining the pursuit amidst the proliferation of new communications technologies such as smartphones.
Radio technology knowledge and operating principles acquired in the amateur radio world are still significant today. The ability of amateur radio is undeniable because it will also bring people practical know-how in communications and its applications. People can talk across town, worldwide, or even into space when all else fails because it has infrastructure independent of cellular phones. Moreover, it is fun, social, educational, and very helpful during times of calamities and rescue operations.
SCAN Education shall also provide an essential mini-research hub for Philippine K12 Education in Wireless Communications, Mathematics, Science, Technology, and Engineering.
